At LCCPS we support a school uniform policy in order to level the playing field for all of our students. Our school uniform policy helps to provide an academic environment where children feel equal, and are not distracted or offended by what others wear. It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to be sure that the student is wearing the official school uniform. This policy is in place to contribute to a positive and structured school. We feel that students are provided with opportunities to express themselves individually through the learning activities at school. Failure to comply with this policy may result in consequences:
 
1st Offense Student is given a verbal warning
2nd Offense Warning letter sent home/phone call
3rd Offense School detention
4th Offense Child sent home(child responsible for missed work)
5th Offense Parents may opt to enroll student in another school

  •  Color SOLID Navy Blue or SOLID Khaki (tan)
  • Skirts, shorts, and jumpers must be reasonable length-within 2” of the knee
  • Shorts may be worn (up to October 1st and after May 1st)
  • If pants have belt loops, a belt must be worn (black, brown, burgundy, or navy blue)
  • Must be fitted to the waist (no sagging or baggy pants)
  • Girls: no capri pants or tight fitting pants
  • No wind pants, workout pants, drawstring pants; No pants with stripes, logos, or designs
  • Belts may not have stripes or designs
  • Belts may not dangle from the waist
SHIRTS
  • Color: SOLID White, SOLID Navy Blue, or SOLID Maroon
  • Shirts must have a collar
  • Acceptable tops: dress shirts, turtlenecks, and polo shirts with collars
  • Worn tucked in or may not pass the wrists when standing upright.
  • No white undershirts that are considered under garments
  • No stripes, logos, or designs
  • No t-shirts (exception: t-shirt with LCCPS logo may be worn only on gym days)

  • Color: SOLID White, SOLID Navy Blue, Or SOLID Maroon
  • No hoods
  • No stripes, logos, or designs
SHOES
SNEAKERS
  • Color: Black, Brown, or White
  • Shoes with a rise must be no higher than 1 inch from toe
  • Athletic shoes may be worn as long as they are white or black with limited designs or logos
  • Boots may be worn in the winter months but students must change into shoes upon arrival
  • No hiking shoes, high heels, platforms, flips-flops
  • No sandals or open-toed shoes
  • No helices or other associated products
 
  • Not all day in school
SOCKS
STOCKINGS
  • Color: SOLID White, Navy Blue, or Black
  • No patterns, designs or stripes
  • Girls: no thigh highs
HAIR
MAKE-UP
JEWELRY
  • Hairstyles must be neat and out of the eyes
  • No drastic hair styles or hair colors
  • No facial piercings
  • Appropriate earrings only
  • No artificial nails

*Wearing the school uniform is optional on the monthly early dismissal days.
