| LCCPS IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 3rd and 4th GRADES, 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR |
Report cards are issued four times a year and are given to parents at a Student-led Parent/Teacher/Student Conference. Lower grades use terms, such as; emerging, developing and secure in order to indicate each child’s individual development. Upper grades use letters or numerical equivalents.
Your child’s teacher will send you home notices about times available for conference appointments. Teachers will try to be as flexible as possible and may make special arrangements to meet with you if that is necessary. Translators are available if they are needed.
Retention policy - It is helpful for parents and students to be aware of the criteria for placement to the next grade: regular attendance, passing grades in coursework and age appropriate social development. The school principal, in considering the individual student’s accomplishment in relation to grade level expectations, will make the final grade placement decision, with input from the parent, staff and student.
