School Opening — LCCPS officially opens its door at 7:30 AM for all students except students in Before-School care. Grades K through 3 should be dropped off at the Primary School entrance and students in grades 4 through 8 should be dropped off at the Middle School entrance. Breakfast is provided for all students who are registered in the food program to receive this service. Students are picked up by their teachers and/or released for their homeroom at 7:50AM. Students are marked tardy after 8:00AM, and must sign in and receive a pass at the front desk, in order to be allowed to go to the classroom.

School Closing — Each day, students are dismissed at 3:30 PM except on half days, when students will be dismissed at noon. Children in the After-School Program may remain at school until 6 PM. Please arrange to be at school on time to pick up your child/ren. For the safety of our students, we take great care about how we allow them to leave the school building. It is important that students and parents understand the dismissal procedure so that every child will be able to leave school and participate in his or her chosen activities after school without any difficulty.
