Extended Day Afterschool Program
Lowell Community Charter Public School is committed to excellence in education, fighting the achievement gap, and supporting families in Lowell. LCCPS offers an extended morning drop-off program from 6:30am to 7:15am for grades K-8. Students have the option to participate in our breakfast program; which starts at 7:30am; before reporting to their homeroom at 8:00am.
We understand the importance of marrying our academic day with our evening program in order for our students to become well rounded. Our extended evening program provides homework assistance, and reinforcement support in the subjects of math and reading. In addition to academic support, the program provides physical exercise, community service, team building, social and leadership skills, and opportunities to implement what students have learned. Through the program’s community partners from Lowell and the surrounding areas, students can participate in enrichment activities through workshops. The partnerships foster youth development in the areas of community building and empowerment. Moreover, our program works to build a strong relationship with parents, and informs them of their child’s experience in the program. Our evening program runs from 3:45pm to 5:45pm serving K-4th grade only.
Enrollment in both programs is based on first-come, first-serve. Parents are notified of acceptance by letter. There is a two day waiting period once the application is submitted before a student can be accepted. There is a $10.00 registration fee per family. All fees are non-refundable. Currently our program cost $3.00 per day for the morning program and $5.00 per day for the evening program. All fees are per child per day.
